What is Rallic?

Accounting you can work in from WhatsApp. Raise an invoice by sending a message, photograph a bill and have it drafted for you, send a bank statement in and approve what it read, ask what you are owed. The same company is on the website, with the full set of screens.

Do I have to change my accounting software?

No. Connect Zoho Books or QuickBooks Online and keep working exactly as you do now: what you raise here is written in the accounts your accountant already uses. If you have no accounting software, we keep a full set of accounts for you, included in the plan, with no second subscription.

What can I do from WhatsApp?

Raise and send an invoice, record an expense, photograph a bill, send a bank statement or a credit card statement in as a PDF, a spreadsheet or a photograph, read your reports, prepare GST return files, and ask questions about your own figures. What you can do depends on the role your company gave you, exactly as it does on the website.

A phone works only once it is linked to a person from inside the app, with a code. We never guess who a number belongs to: the same number legitimately turns up in two businesses, and guessing raises one company invoice against another.

What happens to a bill I photograph?

It becomes a draft. A model reads the supplier, the date, the amounts and the tax, and you see what it read before anything reaches the books. The record of that bill names the model that read it and the person who confirmed it.

Can it really answer questions about my numbers?

Ask anything answers from your own accounts, not from a guess: the same profit and loss, cash position and ageing the screens show. When it cannot see enough to answer, it says so rather than producing a number that looks right.

Several companies?

Each company is separate, with its own accounts, its own currency and its own choice of where those accounts are kept. One of them can be on Zoho, another on QuickBooks and a third on ours. You switch between them in the app, and on WhatsApp you are asked which company a message is about rather than having one picked for you.

GST?

GST is computed by us rather than taken from whichever system holds the books, so an invoice is worked out the same way whatever it is kept in, and where the provider figure disagrees with ours, the disagreement is shown rather than silently accepted. GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and GSTR-9 files can be prepared, with a note of what to look at before filing.

Who can see my figures?

The people you invite, each with the permissions the role you wrote gives them. Every change is recorded with who made it, in a trail that cannot be edited afterwards. How that works is on the security page.

Can I get my data out?

Every list in the app exports what is on it as a CSV, after your filters rather than regardless of them. If your accounts are kept in Zoho or QuickBooks, they were never anywhere else, and disconnecting leaves them where they are.

What does it cost?

One plan, priced by what you hold: a monthly price for your first company, a lower one for each company after it, and one for each person you bring in. Everything is included, and prices are before GST. The first three months are free for companies whose accounts we keep and for everyone you invite. The figures are on the pricing page.

What you start on is what you keep paying: a later price change does not reach an existing account. If a bill goes unpaid the account turns read only after a week, and nothing is ever deleted.
